Terms of Service

Welcome to NiceList! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NiceList app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). NiceList is a social gifting platform that helps people create wishlists, share them with friends and family, and coordinate individual and group gifts. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using NiceList

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use NiceList. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Please use NiceList kindly and lawfully, and don't misuse the Service or harm other people on it.

2. Your content

You own the content you create — your wishlists, items, messages, and the like. You grant us a limited license to host and display that content so we can operate the Service and share it with the people you choose. You're responsible for the content you post and for having the right to share it.

3. Gifts, contributions & payments

NiceList helps people coordinate gifts, including group gifts where multiple people contribute toward a shared purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and are also subject to Stripe's terms. When you contribute to a group gift, you authorize NiceList and Stripe to collect your contribution in accordance with the gift's terms (for example, collecting your share once the gift is fully funded). Please review the details of each gift before contributing.

4. Refunds & cancellations

If a group gift is cancelled before the purchase is made, any contributions collected toward it are refunded to the original payment method. Because timing depends on the gift — some contributions are collected only once a gift is fully funded — the specific terms are shown to you before you contribute, so please review them for each gift. If you'd like to withdraw a contribution before a gift is purchased, or you think there's an error with a contribution or charge, email us at hello@nicelist.app and we'll work with you to make it right.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use NiceList to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, harass anyone, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep NiceList reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NiceList is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
