Delete your NiceList account

You can delete your NiceList account whenever you like. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your information when you do.

In the app

1. Open NiceList and sign in.
2. Tap Me, then the settings icon in the top corner.
3. Scroll to Leaving and tap Delete account.
4. The next screen shows what will be deleted and what will stay. Confirm to delete.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, email hello@nicelist.app with the subject "Delete my NiceList account". Send it from the email address on your account, or, if you sign in with a phone number, include that number. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account for you.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, email address, photo and birthday.
• Your wishlists and everything on them.
• Your saved addresses and payment methods.

What stays

• Gifts you gave stay with the people you gave them to.
• Messages you sent stay in other people's conversations, shown as from "Deleted user".
• Events you organized stay for the people coming, and circles you run are handed on to another member, if there is one.
• Purchase records we are required to keep stay on file, but no longer show your name.

15 days to change your mind

Nothing is deleted straight away. For 15 days after you ask, you can undo it by signing in again and tapping Keep my account. After that, the deletion is permanent and can't be reversed.
